GREEN GEM (Dingle belle)
Pleasingly lush, thrillingly bleak, Dingle is a jewel on the wind-carved western Irish coast, where the only thing outdoing the authentic pubs and good food is the warmth of the local characters.
The spectacular peninsula of Dingle on Ireland’s west coast with the Blasket Islands in the background. Homely burg of a couple of thousand people. Dingle is a harbour – small, secure, home to the trawlers which stock the town’s frequently miraculous seafood restaurants. Dingle is a bay – a sliver of ocean bitten out of County Kerry. And Dingle is a peninsula – jutting approximately from Tralee, Kerry’s largest town, out to the westernmost point of Europe.
